英语中其实有很多俚语，歪果仁经常都会挂在嘴边。对于这些俚语，如果我们只按字面意思来理解，往往会闹出很多笑话。
比如今天给大家分享的这个短语“dog watch”，可不是字面意思“狗在看”哦！而是指“夜班”。

dogwatch （n.）暮更；两小时换班的值班；(尤指最晚的)夜班 （√）
当然，夜班说的比较多的是night shift，这里shift是轮班的意思，白班可以说day shift。
"watch" 除了“看”，还有这么几个主要的意思：
1. 值夜班
2. 值班人(员)，值夜班人(员)；看守人(员)
所以把“dog watch”意为“夜班”也是可以理解的。
